Call for Abstracts
The call for abstracts for the NZ Geospatial Research Conference 2017 is now open.
The submission of an abstract does not require registration to the conference. However, if an abstract is accepted, the presenting author will need to register for the conference. Submissions will remain open until 5pm on Friday 29th September 2017.
Guidelines for Papers
Paper presentations will be held during the conference sessions and will be 15 minutes long with 5 minutes for questions. Please respect the allocated time. It is requested that papers are allocated to one of the six primary research themes of the Geospatial Research Institurte Toi Hangarau,
- Spatial Data Infrastructure, Management and Governance
- Sourcing and Delivery
- Analysis and Visualisation
- Smarter Social Investment
- Smart Cities and Infrastructure
- Environment, Primary Production, and Hazards
Accepted paper abstracts will be published as part of the conference proceedings and at least one author must be present at the conference to present. Template for abstracts can be downloaded from here.
Supported formats for digital presentation are:
- Powerpoint: .ppt , .pptx
- Prezi Presentation (as a portable Prezi in a zip file)
Guidelines for Posters
Please use A0 (1189mm x 841mm) or A1 (841mm x 594mm) paper format. Both portrait and landscape orientation of posters are acceptable. Please ensure you print your poster prior to the conference.
The poster should include:
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- The main body of the poster including text, tables and figures
- Acknowledgements (if any)
Accepted posters will be placed on display boards at the conference and poster presenters will have a dedicated 1 minute speaking slot (per poster) in the ‘Posters pronto’ session.
Poster presenters will be expected to attend their displays at designated times during the conference. At least one author of the poster must be present at the conference to present/attend the poster display sessions.
